When can I drop off my items?

Please see Kidzilla schedule

When can I pick up my check and unsold items if I am a consignor?

Please see Kidzilla schedule

Will you take all of my items?

Each consignor is allowed between 50 and 150 items. We inspect each item and reserve the right to return unacceptable items to the consignor. Please don't be offended if we ask you to take back some of your items, as it is easy to miss a stain or flaw when preparing your items for the sale. We want our shoppers to buy with confidence that they are receiving the highest quality merchandise at the best prices at Kidzilla.

What do I do once I have a Consignor Number?

Once you receive a Consignor number through our Online Registration, you will need to attend ONE of two Orientation Sessions to walk you through how our new Bar-coding System will work. These will be held in the Conference Room at Developmental Services Inc. on Saturday, November 12th at 9:00 am or Tuesday, November 15th at 11:30 am. If you do not attend one of these sessions, your consignor number will be invalid.

How much does it cost to consign with Kidzilla?

Consignors are charged no consignor fee if you volunteer one shift during the sale or $10 if you don't volunteer. Additionally, you earn 70% of the asking price on sold items and Kidzilla retains 30% as commission. The fee will be collected at the Orientation Session.

Why would I consign with Kidzilla instead of the alternatives (such as year-round consignment shops, garage sale, online auction?)

Kidzilla offers a higher commission than most consignment shops, you get to set the price with us, and decide item by item if it will be donated or returned to you if unsold. We also draw thousands of shoppers at each event unlike a consignment shop or garage sale. Because we offer so many items in one location, inspected and organized, shoppers are willing to pay a higher price than they would at a garage sale. Plus, we take care of promoting the event so you don't have to hang signs or take out classifieds. Finally, online auctions have their benefits but Kidzilla supports our local economy, gives opportunities to individuals with disabilites and allows local families to save money.

Can someone without Internet access be a consignor?

Yes, a form can be provided which you can fill out and take to a friend's house or the local library to enter online. DSI can also provide assistance for set up - call us at 1-800-745-7686 to discuss the details.

What items are acceptable?

For a full list go to Acceptable Items.

What happens to items that don't sell?

During the item entry process, you are asked if you wish to pick-up or donate any unsold items. Items selected for pick-up will be available on Monday at your scheduled Pick-up time. Items selected for donate will be picked up by local organizations. Organizations vary from year to year depending on their needs. Visit our About Us page or Charities page for more information on previous charities we've supported. Your final online item list will show what items were donated for your tax purposes.

I have signed-up for the sale and have a check-in time. What do I do next?

Login to the website and begin entering your item descriptions by selecting the Inventory Login option at the top of the page. When your item descriptions are all entered, you'll print your tags and affix them to your clean, properly prepared items according to our instructions outlined on the website on the Tagging Guidelines page.

What is the Preview Sale and how can I get into that?

The evening prior to the public sale, we open our doors to our closest friends – our volunteers and consignors. Consignors can earn a Preview Sale pass by volunteering for at least one shift. It costs nothing to enter the Preview Sale and no children or spouses are allowed. To view the volunteer shifts please click HERE.
