Pricing Guidelines

One of the best features of Kidzilla Children's Consignment Sale is that YOU set the price for all your items! While this is a great feature, it can also be a difficult task. When pricing your items remember to price to sell…keep in mind that quality, name brand and condition should factor into pricing.

As a rule of thumb, we suggest pricing at 1/3 of the original price for best condition; 1/4 of the original price for good/fair condition. And remember that you can include items to be sold for half price on Sunday and items can also be donated if not sold either day of the sale. This way all you have to pick up on Tuesday is your check!

Here are a few reminders:

The point is to include items to SELL them. Try to avoid attaching sentimental feelings to your price. This most often leads to overpricing.

Let things go for HALF-PRICE! It is better to get 50% and clean out your closets than to have to drag items back home to store. Husbands hate that! If you plan to donate your unsold items, at least let them go for half-price.

When pricing, ask yourself: Would I buy this item, in this condition, for this price?
