About Us
Our Mission:
To invite the community to participate in an activity that raises funds for children and adults with disabilities and provides an environment where buyers and sellers can meet to exchange high quality used children's clothing & goods at affordable prices.
Our History:
Kidzilla was created by a group of concerned volunteers and has been modeled after and received support from the Lil' Angels Attic in Bowling Green, Kentucky. With guidance and help from our Bowling Green friends, the Kidzilla sale has become a reality.
DSI receives 30% of all the proceeds raised by Kidzilla with the rest distributed to the participating consignors. All of the proceeds collected by DSI are distributed to many remarkable DSI programs that help children & adults with disabilities and delays become more independent at home, school, work, and in the community. Kidzilla is staffed entirely by dozens of amazing volunteers!
We accept items from our consignors on April 14,15, and 16, 2009, and will have a Preview Sale for our volunteers & consignors Thursday night. Kidzilla will open its doors to the general public Friday, April 17, from 9am-6pm. We anticipate considerable community support from the local media and businesses, consignors and volunteers, and thousands of shoppers!
